Our Chinch-Free Outdoor Greenscapes to Start June Right

By: Jeff

At Terra Garden Solutions, we are welcoming June with open arms! It’s one of our favorite months because it’s actually Great Outdoors Month. If you’re like us and you enjoy spending time with nature, June is the perfect month for you. Let’s all take time off our busy schedules and take a stroll outside, go camping in the nearby woods, or even play with your kids at a nearby park.

Our team’s schedule is always packed, but luckily our job lets us enjoy and create beautiful greenscapes outdoors. We get down and dirty as we take care of the lawns of our beloved customers. Here’s the latest on what we’ve been up to this week!

From Chich-Infested Brown Turf to Lush Green Grass in Naples FL

Whether you like bugs or hate them, you should beware if you see the pesky little critter known as the Chinch bug!

These pests can wreak havoc on your lawn by killing your grass quickly. This brings about a domino effect that can cause major issues, such as new weeds intruding into the areas of dead grass. Big brown spots in your lawn is an eyesore that can decrease your curb appeal. Plus, re-sodding a lawn can get very expensive.

Who would want to incur additional expenses on re-sodding? Who wants to have a big brown area in their lawn? We sure don’t, and you shouldn’t as well.

Your best option would be lawn pest control. If you’ve inquired about the service in other companies, most of them come out and spray the turf every six weeks. You’d think spraying this frequently would be effective! Unfortunately, companies that spray every six weeks only do this reactively. They spray to keep the chinch bugs at bay, but never break the breeding cycle. Instead, the brown spots get larger and larger until the homeowner is on the hook to re-sod the area.

Thankfully, the Terra Garden Solutions spray schedule is unlike any other pest control company. We are scheduled to spray your lawns only three times the whole year, with better results. Our team uses only top-of-the-line products so we don’t need to spray as much, which also limits the amount of chemicals we put into the environment.

Don’t believe that this is more effective? Take a look at a project we handled last year. On the left, the severely malnourished lawn is infested with chinch bugs and weeds. We came right in to spray and fertilize our client’s lawn. In only four weeks, the lawn has completely transformed into one that is much healthier and greener. You can read more about this project here.

Our goal at Terra Garden Solutions is to keep your lawn protected before chinch bugs start to attack. Other companies spray retroactively to keep the damage to the minimum. We would rather not have any damage, to begin with. For us, our investment into top chemicals means less labor, more protection from chinch, and fewer chemicals we have to spray in our beautiful Southwest Florida lawns.

The Fiddler’s Creek Grass Isn’t Always Greener On The Other Side

Do you see that property across the body of water? That is actually a golf course! You’d think that it would be a lot greener, but their turf pales in comparison when put against the grass we worked on.

This property is in Fiddler’s Creek. A family hired us three weeks before to work our magic on their green spaces. The job only took our technician 20 minutes. We applied the fertilizer that we especially blended for grass on Fiddler’s Creek.

The unique blend took off like a rocket! Combining lush color and healthy growth, we were able to create this scenic view from the back yard of our client. I bet their neighbors are curious about how we were able to transform our customer’s lawn. If you’re from around the area and you’d like to beautify your turf, you should definitely get in touch with us.
